Here we go.. in no particular order :)
- Exercise regularly. Your body and mind will thank you when you’re older. Also get fresh air every day.
- Learn to focus, if you’re itching to open YouTube while are you’re coding, resist the temptation. You’ll become a better developer.
- Improve your social skills if you want to climb that corporate letter you will have to be friendly and know how to talk to people.
- Learn how to use text editors like sublime text and how to manipulate text.
- Learn Excel. It will be very valuable when you’re creating applications that involve numbers and formulas.
- Regularly update your CV with the new things you learn you never know when you’ll get fired. Sorry!
- Dress well, developers don’t usually don’t dress well but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t either.
- Don’t have coffee before zoom calls or huddles. I’ll save you from a heated argument.
- Talk to fellow developers (not chat!). This will make sure you don’t get depressed coding alone all day.
- Learn how to create linux scripts / some basics of automation using Python.
